Only a select few bloggers follow simple, practical steps persistently.
The old me – during leaner times – bailed on proven strategies when things did not appear to be working.
When I eventually got fed up with failing I saw things through, persisted, and built the foundation for a successful and profitable blogging venture.
Follow these tips to maximize your blogging profits.
1: Blog Mainly for Fun
Blog mainly for fun.
See profits, traffic, comments, social shares and any outcomes as extra, or bonuses.
The work should be the reward.
Taking this attitude helps you focus exclusively on learning the skill of blogging, practicing the skill of blogging and enjoying the ride.
You tend to make time for what you enjoy doing. If you really enjoy blogging you will become a student of the craft, honing your skills daily, creating and connecting and monetizing your way into a successful blogging career.
2: Stay on Topic
Simply staying on topic with every blog post is an easy way to maximize your blogging profits.
People love specialists because folks who devote all of their attention and energy to doing one thing do that one thing well.
Specialists get paid because you are perceived to be an expert, or authority, in your niche.
Staying on topic programs readers to expect one chief benefit from your blog posts, laying the foundation for a profitable blogging campaign.

3: Build an Email List
Email marketing is the ultimate form of convenience marketing.
At the click of a send button you reach a huge, targeted audience that wants exactly what you have to offer.
The convenience works both ways, too. List subscribers get your posts sent directly to their email inboxes.
This provides you with both traffic and profits on demand as readers open your list emails, visit your latest posts and buy what you have to offer quickly, seamlessly and easily when they are on your email list.
Consider using a pop up form to capture subscribers along with a sidebar form. Toss in a slider form as readers scroll down your blog for good measure.
I’d also include a little pop up to catch PUSH subscribers too as this form of following blogs becomes more popular by the day.
4: Guest Post

Seize these opportunities. Expand your presence while helping readers.
