Here are truths I wish I’d known before blogging.

  1. Engage On Social Media As Much As Possible

Suffice to say that blogging requires lots of exposure. And to get the exposure you will need to connect with tons of people through online and all other traditional ways. Online socializing will also help you to redirect more traffic to your website besides search engines.

This is because it takes a lot of time to get visible on search engine’s top ranking. The reality is that you won’t get too much traffic from Google until you will do paid marketing of your new blog.

Thus, invest your time on popular socializing platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram to fetch a ton of traffic.

  1. Consistency Is The Key

According to a recent survey based report blogger who consistently posts new content speedily grow their blog popularity.  If you really want to get success in the world of blogging then you should adopt consistency.

For instance, you can post new content over your blog on weekly basis rather than monthly. When you will consistently add new content to your blog your subscriber list will grow on a regular basis.

Else, you will miss a great opportunity to grab the attention of more people with fresh content.

  1. You Will Need To Invest Money

Professional blogging isn’t free at all. Therefore you will need to invest a handsome amount of money to fulfill your passion. In order to kick off a blog, you will need to purchase a domain with a secure hosting plan. In addition, you will need to spend plenty of money on designing and development of your blog.

In case you’re planning to get frequent subscribers then you will need to invest money in the paid advertisement as well.

And if you want to create a personal blog, then you can make it for free through WordPress.com.

  1. Learn To Retain Subscribers

You might get a ton of subscribers in the first few months but you will need to retain them for long-term benefit. By focusing on retention strategies in the start-up phase of your blog, you could easily build an everlasting relationship with your blog traffic.

There are multiple ways to retain subscribers by learning what they want and provide it to them. For this, you can use Google analyzer tools to figure out what your followers want to read and then work on it.

Moreover, you can also build a group to make your readers part of your blog.

  1. Strike While The Iron Is Hot

There’s always a right time for everything. Figure out the best time to publish your post to maximize its sharing and readability.

When you post your content on right time on multiple platforms, you could allow more people to explore it and share it in their network.

This way you will speedily generate more visitors from every popular platform to boost your subscriber list.
