Everybody who once had a blog or runs a blog started off with big dreams/expectations to make it through blogging.
A dream of being famous in the Technology World and blogging.
A dream of expressing oneself and gaining attention from others for the purpose of acquiring trust and popularity.
But the sad truth is that 9 out of every 10 blogs on the internet ends up as a failure. This is very factoid to believe.
Many of these sites don’t even get to have up-to 2k+ unique visitors per month. Behind those blogs thriving to fit into the blogging industry is a human being like you running and controlling them.
Someone who did all he could just to be successful but ends up being a failure.
Someone who was coerced into believing that blogging was that easy. Even amongst this, are other blogs that are far more successful than expected. Starting a blog is one big thing, but the question is
‘How Long can you keep it running?
There are a lot of factors that contribute to the success of most blogs
Many see blogging as a quick get rich scheme that requires less or no hard work or consistency from their own part without realising the stress ahead.
Many start off the wrong way, prioritizing the wrong things with no market strategy and end up quitting within three months when they get to see little or no sign of improvement or results.
This can be a little bit demoralizing as to all the efforts/time put in place ends up wasted.
To be successful in the blogging industry you need to stop seeing blogging as a quick get rich scheme, blogging is never easy, is not for lazy peoples, is not for cheap minds, it requires deep persistence, hard work, dedication from your own part, with blogging every thing you do must be highly intentional.
Many are after the money but not after the passion. You only get to earn from your Blog at least six months later so do not feel depressed when you do not get to see results earlier on as you expected it to be.
Having said enough, here are 3 things you need to look out for if you want to be a successful blogger.
Focusing Too much Content Too soon
Content is bae. Writing posts with rich contents can help promote your Site and as well drive a lot of traffic to your blog.
But creating a lot of contents on your blog with few or less audience is not a good idea. Who reads, who writes? Is simple to understand the formula.
This is where so many Rookies get it wrong, they end up writing and publishing contents without even having enough time to promote their blog. I mean, is wrong.
What’s the need of publishing contents when you don’t have anyone to go through them?
You need to write less and promote more. This in a way would help make visitors/content readers be familiar with your blog and along the line may turn to your regular visitor.
Poor Content Promotion Strategy
When starting off a new Blog you have little or no public audience. Writing and sharing your posts on Facebook, Google+, Twitter and other social medias could do you a great deal but then that’s not enough.
You can’t possibly get a sustainable traffic by just sharing your posts on social medias. You need to smartly promote your Blog.
To do this you have to tap from an existing audience. Facebook could also be a good source of content promotion.
In every niche/sector in the blogging industry are Dons and professionals whose opinions are highly valued and respected.
You need to get them to like you and as well help you grow.
Your Blog Has To Be Unique And Different From Others
To get people to help you grow and share your Blog for free, you must have something unique and special to offer. No one or Authority Figure would spend his/her effort in sharing your Blog if it’s not worth it.
There are a lot of blogs on the Internet, you need to stand out from other Blogs and be super specific or get chopped off the radar.
It’s simple Physiology, what ever stands out get remembered, what ever blend in get ignored You need to be YOU and not Howstoguide. Com, this way Influentials would be glad to help you and you stand a better chance of tapping from their massive audience.
In order not to get blended in, you need to have other promotional strategies other than just sharing on social medias, be unique and try making your Blog stand out.
This way you would start gaining the lifetime attention of Influentials in the Same Blogging Niche which would lead to a lot of traffic driving into your Blog.
These are the steps I took to grow all my blogs and clients websites.
A good startup will always lead to a better future. Start it with the right knowledge and you will remain at the top smiling and dancing. Thanks for your time.
